Houston to Laredo Movers

Border city bound. Cross-country moves that end where Texas meets Mexico.

320 miles · 5.5–6.5 hrs · I-69 / I-35

The Route

Laredo is the busiest inland port in the Western Hemisphere. More international trade crosses through Laredo than through any other land port in the country. That trade — and the logistics, customs, freight, and legal infrastructure that supports it — is why people move there from Houston.

Customs brokers, trade compliance attorneys, logistics managers, CBP officers, warehouse operators. The people moving from Houston to Laredo are going where the work is, and the work is at the border. Some of them will be there for years. Some are on rotational assignments measured in months. Either way, they need their stuff moved 320 miles south.

The route is straightforward — I-69 south out of Houston, picking up I-35 south past San Antonio, and following it all the way to the Rio Grande. A loaded truck does it in five and a half to six and a half hours. The terrain shifts from Gulf Coast to brush country, and by the time you reach Laredo the landscape has gone dry and the temperature has gone up.

If you're moving from Laredo to Houston, we pick up there and deliver to the Houston metro. Same crew, same pricing.

Why a Houston-Based Mover

Why We Beat the National Carriers on This Route

National carriers don't run frequent routes to Laredo because the residential volume doesn't justify it. Your move gets consolidated with freight headed to San Antonio, warehoused there, and eventually sent south on whatever schedule works for the carrier. It could be days. It could be longer.

We run direct. Houston to Laredo, one truck, one crew, your stuff only. The drive is under seven hours. There's no logistical reason it should take a week — and with us, it doesn't.

What to Expect

How Your Houston to Laredo Move Works

A one-day move for most households, though tight. Load early in Houston, deliver in Laredo by evening. Larger homes or moves with packing may be two days — pack and load day one, drive and deliver day two.

Laredo's neighborhoods vary. The older areas near downtown and close to the international bridges have narrow streets, limited parking, and historic homes with tight interiors. The newer developments north of Loop 20 — Del Mar, Plantation, Las Ventanas — have wide suburban access and straightforward delivery logistics. We've delivered to both sides of town.

A note for international considerations: we move you to Laredo. If you're ultimately crossing into Mexico, our service ends at your Laredo address. We don't cross the border. But we can coordinate timing so that your Laredo delivery aligns with whatever international logistics you're managing separately.

Transparent Pricing

What It Costs — and Why It Costs Less

Three hundred and twenty miles, one truck, flat rate. No broker layer, no San Antonio warehouse stop, no "border region surcharge." The price reflects the actual job: a day of labor and a half-day of driving each way.
