Apartment Movers in Houston, TX

Studios to three-bedrooms. Walkups to high-rises. We handle the logistics so you don't have to.

The Scenario

You're on the Second Floor. Your Lease Ends Saturday.

You're in a Midtown walkup. The stairwell turns twice. Your sectional doesn't fit through the hallway without being tilted 45 degrees — and you just found that out. The parking lot is gated, the truck barely fits, and your building wants something called a COI before they'll let movers through the lobby. Your lease ends in four days.

This is what apartment moves actually look like in Houston. High-rises need freight elevator reservations and insurance paperwork. Walkups mean carrying everything by hand, flight by flight. Gated complexes need access codes and parking coordination. Every building has its own rules — and most people don't find out what they are until move day. We've been handling all of it since 2009.

Scope of Service

What's Included in Your Apartment Move

Studio and one-bedroom moves

Compact moves that still need professional handling. We wrap, protect, and transport everything — even if it's just a bed, a couch, and a dozen boxes.

Two and three-bedroom apartments

Larger apartments with full living rooms, dining sets, and multiple bedrooms. We bring the right crew size and truck for the volume.

High-rise moves with elevator coordination

We handle freight elevator reservations, building management protocols, and COI paperwork. Your building has rules — we already know them.

Walkup moves — no elevator, no problem

Second floor, third floor, fourth floor. We carry everything by hand, flight by flight. That's what we do. Stair carries are priced the same — no surprise surcharges.

Gated communities and controlled access

Give us the gate code, the leasing office contact, and any parking instructions. We'll coordinate access so there's no delay on move day.

Furniture disassembly and reassembly

Bed frames, desks, bookshelves, IKEA furniture — we break it down at the old place and put it back together at the new one. Hardware stays bagged and labeled.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical apartment move take?

A studio or small one-bedroom usually takes 1-2 hours. A two-bedroom apartment averages 3-5 hours depending on stairs, distance, and how much furniture you have. Three-bedrooms can run 4-6 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when you request your quote.

Do I need to reserve an elevator for my movers?

If your building has a freight elevator, yes — most high-rises and mid-rises require a reservation. Some buildings only allow moves during specific hours. Check with your leasing office or building management. If you're not sure what's needed, we can help you figure it out.

What's a COI and does my building need one?

A COI is a Certificate of Insurance — a document from our insurance company proving we carry liability and workers' comp coverage. Most high-rises and many newer apartment complexes in Houston require one before they'll allow movers in the building. We provide COIs at no charge. Just give us your building's requirements and we'll have it ready before move day.

Can you move me from a 3rd floor with no elevator?

Absolutely. Stair carries are part of the job — our crews handle walkups every day. We don't charge extra per flight of stairs. The additional time it takes is reflected in the hourly rate, and we'll factor stairs into your estimate upfront so there are no surprises.

How much does it cost to move a 1-bedroom apartment in Houston?

A one-bedroom apartment move in Houston typically costs between $300 and $450 depending on the floor level, distance, and amount of furniture. We'll give you an accurate quote based on the specifics of your move.
