Pod & Container Loading in Houston, TX
PODS, U-Box, portable storage — we load them tight so nothing shifts during a 12-hour drive.
The Mistake
The PODS Container Is in Your Driveway. Here's What Happens If You Load It Wrong.
You and your friend spent four hours loading it. You close the door, call for pickup, and two weeks later you open it in your new city. The dresser is on its side. Three boxes are crushed. A lamp didn't make it. The problem wasn't the container — it was how it was loaded. Weight was top-heavy, nothing was strapped to the tie-down rings, and boxes were stacked on fragile items instead of the other way around.
Professional container loading isn't a luxury — it's the difference between opening a door and opening a disaster. Containers shift during transport, especially PODS on flatbed trucks. Items must be stacked tightly with weight low and centered. Tie-down rings should be used. Our crews have loaded hundreds of containers. We know how to Tetris a 16-footer so a three-bedroom household arrives intact on the other end.

Scope of Service
What's Included in Container Loading
PODS container loading
We load 8-foot, 12-foot, and 16-foot PODS containers with proper weight distribution and stacking for flatbed transit. We know the dimensions and we maximize every inch.
U-Haul U-Box loading
U-Boxes are smaller and require precise stacking. We load them tight so everything fits and nothing shifts when the box gets picked up and transported.
Other portable storage containers
MI-BOX, UNITS, 1-800-PACK-RAT, ABF ReloCube — whatever container service you're using, we load it. The physics of packing a box are the same regardless of the brand on the outside.
Storage unit loading
Loading a traditional storage unit at a facility? We organize it so you can actually access things later — not just cram everything in and hope for the best.
Tight stacking for long-distance transit
Containers travel on trucks, trains, and trailers. Everything inside needs to be locked in place. We use tie-down rings, straps, and strategic stacking to eliminate movement.
Furniture wrapping before loading
Every piece of furniture gets wrapped in moving blankets before it goes in the container. We bring all the materials — blankets, stretch wrap, and padding.
Transparent Pricing
Container Loading Pricing
Pod and container loading is priced hourly based on crew size and volume. Most single-container loads take 2-4 hours with a two or three-person crew. A 16-foot PODS container holding a three-bedroom household is typically on the higher end. Smaller containers and less volume run faster.
We bring the blankets, the dollies, and the know-how — you just tell us what goes in. Packing materials are included in the labor rate. No surprise fees for straps, wrap, or equipment.

The Process
How Container Loading Works
01
Tell us the setup
What container brand and size? How much stuff? What floor are you on? Is the container in the driveway, the street, or a facility? We'll quote it honestly.
02
We show up ready
Our crew arrives with moving blankets, stretch wrap, dollies, and straps. We assess the load, plan the stacking order, and get to work.
03
Loaded, strapped, sealed
Heavy items go in first, low and centered. Furniture gets wrapped. Boxes fill gaps. Straps secure everything to tie-down points. When the door closes, it's road-ready.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to load a PODS container?
A 16-foot PODS container for a 2-3 bedroom household typically takes 2-4 hours with a two-mover crew. An 8-foot container for a studio or one-bedroom runs 1-2 hours. The timeline depends on volume, floor level, and how far the container is from your front door.
Can you fit a 3-bedroom house in a 16-foot container?
It depends on how much furniture and how many boxes you have. A 16-foot PODS container holds roughly the equivalent of a 3-4 room house with moderate furnishings. If you have a packed garage, oversized furniture, or a lot of boxes, you may need two containers. We can assess this when you reach out.
Do you bring wrapping and padding materials?
Yes. We bring moving blankets, stretch wrap, and padding for every container loading job. Your furniture gets wrapped before it goes in — that's standard. You don't need to purchase or provide any materials.
What's the difference between loading a pod vs a truck?
The main difference is transit stress. A rental truck you drive yourself goes through normal road vibration. A PODS container gets lifted by forklift onto a flatbed, driven to a warehouse, possibly stored, then driven again. That means items inside a container need to be secured even more tightly — straps, tie-downs, and zero gaps. We load containers accordingly.
Can you load my container if it's parked in the street?
Yes. If your HOA or city requires the container in the street instead of the driveway, we'll work with that. It may add a small amount of time due to the distance from your door, but we handle street-parked containers regularly.
